Lola's dog friendly guide to County Mayo!

Lola had the most pawsome vacation exploring the Jewel of Wild Atlantic Way, and she kindly shared some of her adventures with us. This blog will help you with ideas and options for pet friendly places to visit in Mayo!

Where to Stay?!

There are many options on AirBnB, but if you prefer a hotel/B&B we have some options here:

Ballina:

Enniscoe House Well behaved doggos are more than welcome to stay with their pawrents there. Loads of green area around and access to the lake for the pups to enjoy. To know more, check their website here.

Westport:

The Wyatt Hotel offers dog friendly accommodations in an isolated area of the property. Their website says:

"The Dog Friendly Rooms come complete with a Dog Bed and have direct exterior access which is located on the lower ground floor so your pet can easily get outside. Note that Dogs are not allowed in the public areas of the hotel and can not use the main entrance. Dogs should only use the remote room access available."

To know more, check their pet policy here.

Places to eat/drink:

Ballina:

The Merry Monk is a pub and restaurant. Lola's human told us that "they have an area adjacent to the main restaurant where we had lunch. They were super nice to Lola, and they gave her a dish full of roasted turkey and chicken (she couldn't have finished it in a week!)"

Westport:

The Cobbler's is The Wyatt's hotel bar/restaurant, and they also welcome the furry visitors there.

Lola's mom said that "...even though they were fully booked because of the rugby match, they managed to give us a table. I think they couldn't resist Lola's eyes staring at the food passing by🙈 She loved the fish and chips."

Mocha Beans is a family run franchise with many stores around Ireland, and they are pet friendly! Lola and her humans had a seat outside in their covered area. I heard that they also do puppachinos. So it's definitely a good place to stop by!

Servd is another café you can stop by and get your pup a puppachino in Westport! Dogs aren't allowed in their indoor area, but their food looks really delicious, and it is a lovely place to stop by on a sunny day!

Mayo is also famous for its stunning walks and trails. Check some of the places that Lola visited!
